Carving Pumpkins

So this afternoon we started to carve all of our pumpkins. Wes and I really wanted to put Logan into one, so we tried and he got stuck, we have to cut the pumpkin just to get him out. Just Kidding. I didn't even want to try. I think it was deep enough but not round enough. Logan also got his first ride on Kohl's little razor quad. Overall good times. Now I need to cook dinner. Yay for me!

Pumpkin Patch

Last night we all went to the pumpkin patch, my parents and sister included. I was so glad that we were all able to go together. I love spending time with my parents, and Logan loves to be around them
This is Logan's first halloween so Wes wanted to find a pumpkin that he would fit inside so we could take pictures with him in it. But what he forgot is that we have a BIG kid. We found a good size one, so later I am going to clean in out and see if Logan fits in it.
Until then, here are the pictures from the pumpkin patch!

A day with PaPa!

Today Logan and I drove down to the Villa ( Lawrence Welk ) to visit my grandfather, who is Logan's great grandfather. He moved a while back up to Paradise, which is above Sacramento, so we don't get to see him as often. And when I say often, I mean before he left I was at his house at least a couple times a week. I miss him dearly and for my own selfish reasons I wish he would move back down. He has only seen Logan one other time and that was when he was a wee little one, only a couple weeks old. I was so thankful to spend today with him and to be able to visit. Luckily Logan was in a good mood, so that worked out great. Except when he only took about a 20 min nap and then woke up very cranky, so we left shortly after that. .
Oh I love my Papa so much. Him and my Nana have always been my favorite. I miss my Nana more than ever, I wish she were here to see who I have become and to meet my family but most important, my son.

This one is my favorite!

Gerry put him in the chair and he thought he was a "big boy"

Note, this cheesy face!

Then Papa tried giving him beer! of course Logan was ALL over it. He was trying to get the cup from him.

It was a great day today. I love seeing and spending time with Papa. And I know Logan enjoyed him also.

Oh and then on the way home I was pulled over in Anza by the CHP for speeding. ( not me!) but I got out of it. See, it pays off to be nice, and honest. Hey, I knew I was speeding. When am I not?

Prop 8. Just so you know.

About Proposition 8

Proposition 8 is simple and straightforward. It contains the same 14 words that were previously approved in 2000 by over 61% of California voters: “Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.”

Because four activist judges in San Francisco wrongly overturned the people’s vote, we need to pass this measure as a constitutional amendment to restore the definition of marriage as between a man and a woman.

Voting YES on Proposition 8 does 3 simple things:
It restores the definition of marriage to what the vast majority of California voters already approved and what Californians agree should be supported, not undermined.

It overturns the outrageous decision of four activist Supreme Court judges who ignored the will of the people.

It protects our children from being taught in public schools that “same-sex marriage” is the same as traditional marriage, and prevents other consequences to Californians who will be forced to not just be tolerant of gay lifestyles, but face mandatory compliance regardless of their personal beliefs.

Please Vote YES on prop 8.

Long Overdue!

I am so sorry I haven't been on here lately to post anything. Our lives have been so crazy busy lately. So now it is time for some catching up.
Logan is now eight months old, and becoming more active with each day. He is now standing and pulling himself up on everything!
We went to his one month check up for his helmet a while back and the helmet is actually working. It was nice to see that his head had changed. Before his apt. he was able to take his helmet off all by himself and that is what he did every time I put it on. So now we have a wonderful chin strap that is working great. He hardly knows the helmet is there.
Logan has a total of seven teeth, four on top and three on the bottom. He now is starting to bite. It has happened once to me and I hope it doesn't happen again, because it hurts.

Today I went and picked up Kohl from school and then we came home. Stacey, my sister, gets dropped off right in front of our house from school so we ran out there and made "auntie Stacey" play with us.
Kohl and her had a great time. I appreciate her so much, and envy her also. She is so patient with Kohl and with Logan. Sometimes I feel myself wanting to scream and she just looks at Kohl and has such a caring, sweet voice. He really responds to her. I wish I could be more like her.
She will make a wonderful mother one day. But hopefully in like 40 years or something.

Pete was trying to get in on the action too.
