My Growing World

(Newborn)
So today I really needed to clean my house. So I called my parents to see if they could watch Logan for a while so I could just get it done with no interruptions. As I was picking up everything to put away I really realized how much my life has changed. My whole world has changed! I think back four years ago when I started working at Loma Linda I never imaged this is what I would be doing four years later. Two years ago I found the love of my life. I couldn't be happier with Wes, he may drive me nuts sometimes because it is like having another child, but I don't think I would have it any other way. Along with Wes came Kohl. MY crazy step-son who I have grown to love so much. He has changed so much in two years and is becoming very independent and responsible. He still has his moments, but don't we all? Then January of this year my life couldn't have gotten any better. My little man arrived and since then I have not been the same person. I'm a mom. One of life's greatest gifts and at times a very challenging one.
(3 months)
People would always stop at tell me to Cherish every moment when they are newborns because they grow so fast. I never knew how true that was until now. He will be five months very soon and I don't know where the time went. My love grows for him every day. I am still very sleep deprived, but that is getting better. I look at pictures of him when he was born and over the last five months and I don't know where the time went. All I can say is that I am truly loving every minute of being a Mom, and I thank the Lord every night for giving me such a wonderful family. (2 Months)

Logan and Carrots

So today after only being home for an hour Wes was called back to work. With this outrageous heat we have been having it make transformers blow up all the time which leads to no power, and when people have no power they sometimes get a little cranky. So since Daddy had to leave Logan and I continued our night by eating some carrots. Yuummmmyy! I love my son very much, and this is why I really hope I can get over my HUGE dislike of baby food. It is just so gross and when they are young it just seems to get EVERYWHERE! Oh and how I love when I am feeding him and he sneezes and then it also is all over me! yuck! yuck! yuck! So I lately just feed him naked and then I don't have to worry about it being all over the clothes, I just have to throw him in the tub!

And as you can see, he can't keep his fingers out of his mouth. So of course carrot juice is all over them and then he wants to grab everything.. Oh i cringe just thinking about it.

So then we get in the bath. A time that we both love. He sits in there kicks, laughs and smiles... until I get the camera!

well this is my boy and he is only going to keep on growing and also keep on eating which means I really need to get over this baby food thing, FAST!

Wes at work

I often get asked what Wes does for work, then I have to explain who he works for and what he does all day long. . . So to sum it up he is a ground man for Pouk & Steniele and they do Power line Construction. It is the same stuff the Edison guys do. Edison has so much work they contract out with other companies the work they can't get to or the work they don't want to do.

A couple weeks ago they had to go set a pole up on a hill out in the middle of nowhere so they used a helicopter to bring the pole in. Wes was anxious to work this day for he had never seen this before so he took the camera to work and this is what he got.

This was the hill Line they were working on

So this is what my wonderful husband does every day outside in this wonderful heat. And this is also probally why he comes home grumpy sometimes, cause I know I wouldn't want to be in this heat everyday.

Pete the babysitter.

So today as I was trying to put all my laundry away and get our house back in order from leaving this weekend when Pete started barking and I heard a loud truck outside our house. Well we have had this dead tree in our yard from when they poured new concrete and killed the roots. Since it is the beginning of fire season they have been trying to get us to remove the tree. Probably seeing that we had made no progress of doing this on our own, they decided to take it out for us, free of charge!
Well I didn't want Pete to eat these lovely men or to run away to I brought him in the house. Come to find out he is a pretty good babysitter, besides him first jumping on the bed and laying on top of Logan, but I don't have any proof of that so you can't call CPS.

These are my two boys watching TV ( Regis & Kelly )

This was right after Pete decided to lay next to Logan, NOT on top of him.
This picture is a little bright but I thought it was great because Pete also has the keys.. if he could only drive, my life would be great!

And this is just priceless...

Fathers Day in Lake Havasu

So Wes and I had planned about a month ago to go to Lake Havasu with out friends for Fathers day. But then of course the night before we are supposed to leave we both brought up how we were nervous to take the baby to the heat ( he get soo cranky when he is hot) so after all night and all day of saying lets not go, lets not take him ( but i wanted to take him) and after a couple good disagreements we decided NOT to take him at the last minute, meaning like 3 hours after we were already supposed to be gone. Overall it was a great weekend and I was able to get some neat pictures.

So all weekend I was sicker than a dog and not much fun to be around and my husband was drunk most of the time, we both agreed it was a good thing we didn't take Logan with us!

A day at the Fire Station.

Photobucket

Yesterday we were all down in town so I told wes I wanted to go by the fire station and get some pictures of the fire truck and also I wanted some pictures of Logan on or near the fire truck with his grandpa. But of course when we show up they we called out to go to the local Wal-Mart because someone had fallen. Grandpa said he wouldn't be long so we waited and I took some pics until they got back.

For those of you who don't already know, I am very close with my Dad. I told Wes it is very important to me to have as many pictures of him and the fire station as possible to show Logan who is Grandpa is and what is has done for the past 30+ years.
