My Babys ONE today

Thinking back to a year ago I could have never imaged my boy turning ONE and here it is. This last year has flown by. I can remember I couple times sitting in my room sobbing, wondering if I was really cut out for this mom thing! Well, I did it! I got my kid to his 1st birthday. Now I just pray I can get him to his second!
Logan has made my life so much brighter. It's true what they say: there is NO love like the love for your child! I get so excited when I come home from work, he looks up at me and crawls as fast as he can to get me! I pick him up and kiss his little face until he gets mad and wants down.
I can tell you this though... That kid of mine, he is going to give me a run for my money! I don't know if he is my "payback" kid or what, but if that is true, I should invest in some counseling starting now!
Today is also kind of bitter sweet. My son is turning ONE and Wes is most likely out of a job as of today! This stupid economy is really pissing me off. Working in power line I can just pray that another job comes, and SOON! Until then, I will be a basket case and probably flip out at least a couple times a day! So if you think about it when your saying your prayers tonight, can you say a little one for us! I know with how our economy is going right now, there are a lot of people stressed and wondering where their next meal is going to come from, I really hope that something will change so that families aren't having to kill themselves thinking that is the only way out of this mess.
Hope you all have a wonderful day. I am going to clean and hang out with my ONE year old!! hehe

Then

Now

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOGAN!

An Evening with Logan

I have said it before, but I am going to say it again...
MY KID IS NUTS.
He is such a bruiser and into everything. The new thing is for him and Pennie to fight.. and boy do they go at it. She will attack him, then he'll attack her back but once she retaliates a couple times heis DONE and starts to get fussy. Then.. there are times he just lays there and lets her do whatever to him.. Crazy I tell ya, it's like having two kids!!!
Here is my kid in a nut shell:
Photobucket
Note the blood coming from his chin. He did that a couple nights ago and is probally going to have one gnarly scar. That's what happeneds when you climb on things you aren't supposed to!

Get a move on it!

My son has finally decided to walk!!! Just a week shy of his first birthday, he stood on those little legs of his and took more than four steps (4 is what we have been stuck on for a while)
He started on Friday trying to take more steps but he would just get too excited and fall. OR he would get a running start and then fall flat on his face, laugh and then start crawling. He has all the determination in the world, but is too worried about what is going on around him to concentrate on his feet.
I still cannot believe that he is going to be a year old on Friday! It seems just yesterday I was pregnant, miserable and just wanting him to come out! Wes and I were laying on the bed with him last night and I was just watching how active and full of life he is. He has such a dynamic personality!
•He is very grumpy when he first wakes up from his naps, so you have to give him about 30 minutes to warm up.
•He will laugh and laugh when you make funny faces at him.
•He can go from a cry to a laugh at the snap of a finger!
•He is going to eat me out of house and home.
•He is still in the process of getting his "year molars"
•He can say: Ma Ma Ma .. Da Da Da. Ba Ba Ba and is in the process of learning the lion says " RAWR! and the doggie says woof woof woof
•He would rather play in the pots and pans than with his toys
•and his most favorite place to play in the department under the stove
(the broiler part)
Oh how I love him sooo much. He fills my heart everyday.
( I'll have pictures when I get home tonight or tomorrow.. sorry)

The Rules:

1. Go to where you store your digital photos and open the 4th folder.

2. Post the 4th picture in that folder.

3. Explain the picture.

4. Tag 4 people.

This was taken October of 2006. WOW. And boy do we look great! haha. This was the first time Wes went to my parents house. Actually I think this was the first time he "officially" met them. Then when we left the fog was SOO bad we couldn't see in front of the truck. I told him we could turn around and stay the night, but he said we couldn't because he had just met them.. ☺ I can't believe we are now married with a kid. Holy Moly.

Now I tag... Fran, Crystal, Letti, Megan and Lana ( ya I broke the rules and did 5)

Love Candles?

I am now selling Gold Canyon Candles in my spare time. (Ha! Spare time?) I am making spare time!
I love these candles so much and I love the way they make our home smell, I wanted to be a bigger part of it! If you would like to host a party there are great incentives and free product you can earn. Or if you would just like to order some candles, let me know.
These candles burn for hours upon hours and even after extinguished they still leave a sent.

Did you know Gold Canyon candles are made from premium raw materials that burn cool. If you accidentally spill your candle, the melted and liquefied wax will not burn you! This also makes for an easy clean up if a spill occurs on a counter or dresser.

Also, Gold Canyon candles have lead-free safety wicks which cause the candle to self-extinguish at the appropriate level, preventing the possibility of fires or shattered glass.

I have a web site that you can order candles directly through!

Please take a look and let me know if I can be assistance to you in any way.

Family Fishing

Wes has been wanting to go fishing ever since we moved up here ( last April) so today was the day. We have Kohl this weekend so Wes got everything ready and off they went to Lake Hemet this morning. I woke up with a headache and Logan is STILL teething and grumpy most of the time so we stayed at home so Logan could nap. Wes called after only being gone for about an hour and said it was WAY to windy and wanted to know if I wanted to go to the other lake with them. I said sure, got Logan ready and off we went. Wes and I found this lake last month when the weather was horrible, there was so much fog you could hardly see it, but I had hear it was gorgeous. They were right! This place is great. I would love to take people up here to take their pictures. It is the PERFECT setting!

The boy doesn't understand that when you go fishing you have to have patience and you may not catch anything.. that is why it is called fishing and NOT catching.. hehe

My crazy teething kid decided he wanted to smile.

Cleaning

It is AMAZING the things you find when you really start cleaning.. I mean CLEANING. I have been going thru everything today, like old drawers and my filing cabinet. Funny how I am finding the things I have been looking for and thought I lost or threw away! I am really trying to clean out the old.. Wes says I'm a 25 year old pack rat. At first I got mad when he used to say it, but then I started to realize he is right. So I am throwing a lot away. I am still keeping everything that has meaning to it. I think it will be neat when I'm ninety and have weird stuff that has been in the family so I can tell my grand kids about it. ( wow did I just say grand kids?) So here's to cleaning and getting rid of the SHIT I don't need!!

Oh What Joy!

Logan is getting his first year molars in on the bottom. How come my kiddo can't be one of the easy ones that maybe breaks out a fever and then a tooth pops thru? NO .. He has to be difficult .. get the major poopy pants with the horrible attitude and be
SUPER DUPER CRANKY!
Really I feel so bad for him, teeth are NOT fun. But I have to deal with everything but the pain of them popping thru. Sometimes I just feel like crying too!
Oh the joyous days of motherhood. Gotta love em'!

My boy had his first hair cut yesterday. Just a couple weeks shy of his first birthday!
His hair was getting long and out of control, it didn't even look right when I brushed it over, so Grammy broke out the clippers and scissors and got to work!

Health Insurance

Is a BiOATCH!!!!

It is so stupid that we work our butts off pay for health insurance and then "things" aren't covered or you get bills in the mail for things that should have been paid!

Wes was diagnosed with Cancer August 3, 2007. He has insurance thru his work that paid out 80/20. (20% adds up fast when you have cancer) We got married August 15th so I could put him on my insurance thru work and he would be DOUBLE covered. I AM STILL RECEIVING BILLS FOR CANCER TREATMENTS!! What the hell. Basically they paid out for six months of treatment except for one day! Really?!?! One day? 1.11.08 they seem to not be able to bill correctly or work with each other. UGH. I just got off the phone again and risk management ( who is the secondary insurance for Wes) has paid their part, I have the check numbers to prove it, but LINECO hasn't paid and they haven't signed off on their "write off".
It just pisses me off because Wes and I both work, I'm basically working for the insurance so we are double covered and we pay what needs to be paid, but these medical patients come walking in the hospital like we owe them something and in the end "WE" are paying for their health care, and their fricken cheerios!!!!
I know I'm ranting and I'm sorry, I am just so sick of dealing with bills from Cancer! I would like to close that chapter in my life and not have to re-live the financial part of it when I open the mail!!
Dealing with LINECO is a whole new cup of tea!
When Wes is working five dollars or something like that comes out each house to pay for health insurance. Then we still have to pay 20% of anything we have done at the doctor, or dentist. Lineco does not cover any preventive care, ie: my child's shots, or well checks. They also do not cover birth control. Basically they want you to get knocked up because they pay for anything and then your kid needs to be sick to be seen. Luckly we have double insurance because that 1st year you kid is born, they get A LOT of shots and they add up! It just sucks that we work to have health insurance, that is a lot more that a lot of people can say, and we are still having to deal with AHHHH.

Powerless Party.

Well not really a "party" and that is only because the "power" above shut our operation down.

A lot of things have been changing at work. This has made it difficult for a lot of people, including me.. We all know I just LOVE change.. Anywho. Administration has came in and moved a lot of positions, made new ones and got rid of the rest! People have been affected by these changes, but not as much as Angela and Terri. I worked with Terri when I first began at Loma Linda five years ago. She is a wonderful, caring, hardworking charge nurse. I am sorry that she will no longer be a charge nurse, but happy she will be coming to days! When I went to days I had the pleasure of working for Angela. I absolutely LOVE her. Not that I don't love Terri, Angela just has this smile and compassion to her, she can make ANYONE feel better without really doing much.
SO we wanted to have a little party for her today, since it is her last day as "charge nurse" but like I said we were shut down. I needed to go to the bank so while I was there (at staters) I picked up a little cake and some flowers. Then later tea was made for her because she is English and that is what she enjoys! ♥
So we basically had our own celebration , I called it her "powerless party". After today she will still work with us, she just won't have any power! We love you Angela, you are a wonderful charge nurse!
The pictures aren't the best ....It was my phone.
